Honoring World Down Syndrome Day: Empowering Inclusion and Partnership
On this special occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, Sereniti Foundation is proud to stand in solidarity with individuals of all abilities, celebrating their uniqueness and advocating for a more inclusive society. At the heart of our mission lies a dedication to fostering empowerment, dignity, and autonomy for every individual, regardless of their cognitive abilities.
Founded as a beacon of hope and support, Sereniti Foundation has been championing the cause of inclusivity since its inception. Our commitment extends beyond mere advocacy to tangible action, as we actively engage with organizations and initiatives that share our vision of a more inclusive world.
One such partnership that exemplifies our dedication is our collaboration with the Association for the Development of Diverse Abilities A.D.H.D in Bogotá, Colombia. This non-profit organization, established in 2014, shares our mission of advocating for the rights and inclusive education of individuals with cognitive disabilities. Together, we work tirelessly to create spaces where individuals with diverse abilities are not just accepted but celebrated for their unique contributions to society.
As part of our ongoing partnership, Sereniti Foundation has proudly sponsored the Pulp Project initiated by A.D.H.D. From ages 17 to 74, these incredible individuals with various intellectual abilities are making waves. Not only are they mastering the art of preparing pulp, but they’re also taking it to the streets, selling and raising funds for the organization! Feeling the pride of their accomplishments, they’re proving that everyone has a valuable contribution to make to their communities.
By supporting initiatives like the Pulp Project, we strive to break down barriers and create pathways to greater independence and self-sufficiency for individuals with Down syndrome and other cognitive disabilities.
At Sereniti Foundation, we believe in the power of partnership and collaboration to drive meaningful change. Through our collective efforts with organizations like A.D.H.D., we are paving the way for a more inclusive and compassionate world where every individual, regardless of their abilities, can thrive and fulfill their potential.
As we mark World Down Syndrome Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion, and building a future where everyone is valued and respected for who they are. Together, we can create a world where differences are embraced, and every individual is empowered to live life to the fullest.
