Building a Home: From Vision to Reality

At Sereniti™ Foundation, we believe in the power of young leaders to create real change. When Simon, a compassionate 9th grader, saw the difficult conditions in which Yadira and her daughters, Juliet and Jessica, were living, he knew something had to be done. A house is more than just bricks and mortar—it’s a foundation for a better future. That’s why, in partnership with the Catalina Muñoz Foundation, we set out to make Simon’s vision a reality. Together, we built not just a house, but a home filled with hope, security, and opportunity.

Laying the Foundation: Where It All Began
A dream without action remains a dream. Once the plans were in place, the hard work began. From the ground up, our dedicated team and volunteers—alongside Yadira and her daughters—began laying the foundation. Every step of this journey was a testament to the power of community and collaboration. It wasn’t just about constructing a house; it was about giving Yadira and her daughters a chance at a better life.

A Home Comes to Life
As the walls rose, so did the excitement. Windows, doors, and a solid roof—each element was carefully placed with love and dedication. The progress wasn’t just physical; it was deeply emotional. With every nail, every layer of paint, and every detail, we weren’t just building a house—we were building hope, security, and a future filled with opportunity.

The Final Stone: A New Beginning
The last piece of roofing was placed, and in that moment, they finally had a place to call home. This was more than just a construction project—it was proof of what’s possible when people come together to make a difference.

And at the heart of it all was Simon, a 9th grader who reminded us that age is no barrier to making an impact. His vision, combined with the dedication of Sereniti™ Foundation and Catalina Muñoz Foundation, transformed an idea into a life-changing reality.
